Privacy Notice
This Notice explains how Sree Rama Medical & Generals, with branches at West Mambalam and Virugambakkam, handles personal data submitted through this website, its enquiry forms, WhatsApp conversations, phone calls, and related pharmacy communication.
1. Who is responsible
Sree Rama Medical & Generals is the organisation deciding why and how enquiry information is used for this website. For privacy questions, correction, access, deletion, withdrawal, or complaints, contact the pharmacy team at +91 70108 68948 or +91 98401 12271. WhatsApp contact may be used when you choose to contact us there.
2. Information we may collect
- Name or caretaker name.
- Mobile or WhatsApp number, including country code.
- Medicine name, strength, dosage form, quantity, and enquiry message.
- Patient city, delivery location, and branch preference.
- Prescription information only when you voluntarily provide it for verification. Please do not send medical reports unless specifically requested.
- Consent records, form submission time, anti-spam fields, security logs, and technical information needed to protect the site.
- Payment or order information only if a payment or order is separately confirmed through an enabled and verified payment process.
3. Why we use it
We use the information to respond to your enquiry, verify prescription requirements, check medicine availability, coordinate with a branch, arrange an approved delivery, issue or communicate billing information, prevent spam and fraud, handle complaints, meet legal obligations, and maintain security records.
We do not use enquiry information to provide diagnosis, treatment advice, medicine substitution advice, or a guarantee of supply. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated advertising without a separate lawful notice and consent where required.
4. Consent and withdrawal
Where consent is the basis for processing, it is requested through a clear affirmative checkbox for the stated purpose. You may withdraw consent by contacting the pharmacy at either number above. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal, and some records may continue to be retained where required for an order, payment reconciliation, safety, fraud prevention, or law.
5. Sharing and service providers
We may share only the information reasonably needed with pharmacy staff, delivery partners, hosting/form providers, communication providers such as WhatsApp when you choose that channel, payment providers if enabled, professional advisers, or authorities where required by law. We expect service providers processing data for us to use appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.
6. International coordination and transfers
Families outside India may contact us to coordinate a patient’s enquiry in Chennai. If a communication or service provider processes data outside India, processing will be handled subject to applicable Indian law, contractual safeguards, and any restrictions or requirements notified by the Government of India.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep enquiry data only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, follow-up, fraud prevention, complaint handling, legal requirements, and payment or transaction reconciliation. We will delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required, subject to applicable law and required records or security logs. We maintain operational procedures for the DPDP Rules’ retention and deletion requirements as they become applicable under the notified phased commencement.
8. Security and breach response
We use access controls, reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, limited collection, security headers, anti-spam controls, and restricted handling of prescription information. No online service can promise absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess it and provide notices to affected people and the relevant authority in the manner and timelines required by applicable law.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may request access to information about processing, correction or completion of inaccurate information, deletion where retention is no longer required, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal. Send the request to either branch phone number above and state “Privacy request” at the start of the message. We may ask for reasonable information to verify the requester and protect another person’s data.
10. Children and caretaker information
Do not submit a child’s information unless you are an authorised parent, guardian, or caretaker. We do not knowingly use a child’s data for advertising or behavioural monitoring. Prescription-related information for a child is handled only to the extent reasonably necessary for the enquiry and pharmacy communication, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this Notice when the website, services, vendors, or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top will show the latest version.
